Introduction

Abstract

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss state-of-the-art hydraulic actuators and systems for practical robot application. Invited tutorials from hydraulic industry and academia are given to introduce new solutions that improve the control performance and energy efficiency while keeping the actuator's innate high power density, robustness, and long-life. Some leading robotics researchers in this field introduce their application to share their knowledge and ideas with the participants. The primary audiences are those researchers currently involved in, or wishing to learn more about, the state-of-the-art in design and control of fast and efficient hydraulic robots for medical, field, and space application. Researchers working on light-weight manipulators, legged robots, or wearable exoskeleton robots are also part of the intended audience. This workshop may also be of interest to researchers in the complementary fields of electric and pneumatic power systems.

This is the 2nd edition of the workshop series on high-performance hydraulic robots.

Please bring your posters to the workshop room directly. We prepare 4 poster boards (width 1260 mm x height 1800 mm for each). We use the both side. We have totally 8 posters. The poster size is fee.
Please also prepare a few slides for a very short introduction of your work (2-3 minutes) to the whole workshop audience. We will have these teasers between 14:10 and 14:30, just before the poster session.
